NAIROBI, AMBOSELI, NAIVASHA, MASAI MARA, NAIROBI

Overview

The tour starts out with a visit to Amboseli national park ‘the home of African Elephants” and with great views of Mount Kilimanjaro [Africa’s highest free-standing mountain]. Thereafter head to Lake Naivasha national park. Located on the shore of the Great Rift Valley. Activities one can enjoy here are, bird watching, fishing, game viewing & camping.

The tour concludes with a visit to Kenya top destination Maasai Mara National Reserve. The site of one of the 7 wonders of the world being the Wildebeest Migration.               

Itinerary/Day to day

Day 1NAIROBI –AMBOSELI

Upon arrival in Nairobi, our driver will pick you up at the airport briefed about the safari. Afterwards depart for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa road, you will arrive in for lunch and a short relaxation.

After lunch you will proceed for an afternoon game viewing till sunset in this outstanding National Park full of Elephants.

Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The Game Park also contains vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also, to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain gamed through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2AMBOSELI FULL DAY

After early breakfast, rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit with packed lunch provided and an optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. More wildlife to see such as impalas, gazelles, hippos, baboons and reedbucks.

Day 3AMBOSELI- NAIVASHA

Early morning game drives return to your lodge for breakfast leave Maasai Mara for Lake Naivasha. Arrive Lake Naivasha in for lunch and a short relaxation.

After Lunch proceed for an afternoon boat ride to Crescent Island. The Crescent Island is a private owned Sanctuary offering home to many wildlife. Guests can have a guided nature walk inside the sanctuary while on foot thus making it a perfect place to see the wild animals while on foot.

Day 4NAIVASHA – MAASAI MARA

Early morning game drives return to your lodge for breakfast leave Lake Naivasha for Maasai Mara

Arrive Maasai Mara in for Lunch and a short relaxation.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most outstanding reserves in the whole of East Africa and Africa at Large. With the same Eco system as the Serengeti National Park, the reserve is characterized by rolling open grassland savannah with patches of distinctive acacia trees.

The reserve hosts the annual spectacular Wildebeest Migration which is one of the “7 wonders of the World”. The migration occurs from late June to late October [depending on the weather patterns] with over millions of Wildebeest and other grazers i.e., the zebras, Topis, Antelopes and other wild animals moving from miles and miles from the Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara Reserve through the Mara River for fresh grass and mating then returning to Serengeti around Late October.

The reserve also boasts of around 500 bird species i.e. The Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Cranes, Eagles, Marabou Stock, Vulture and the big five [Lion, Cape Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopard & Elephant] just but to mention a few. Apart from the Flora and Fauna, we also have the Maa community who are the major habitants of this beautiful region, on your last day of the safari you can visit their Manyatta and learn more about their ways of living.

Day 5 & 6MAASAI MARA FULL DAY

Have breakfast and then proceed for a full day game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve, the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The morning and afternoon game drives take you in search of Africa’s Big Five and other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. After your afternoon game drive, you retire to your lodge where you shall have your dinner before heading for overnight.

Day 7DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home-bound flight.
