The safari begins with a visit to Samburu Game Reserve, one of the main reserves located on the northern part of Kenya. With its semi-arid nature comes a number of beautiful and unique animals also known as the special five [Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Girraffe, Dikdik, Somali Ostrich and the Gravy’s Zebra] as some of the safari highlight. The next day depart the park with enroute game drives to Ol Pejeta famously know for the protection of the orphaned chimpanzees and conservation of wildlife. You can be able to spot some of the white rhinos and the chimps while on a safari. Your final destination is the Aberdare’s National park with picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland. The park provides home for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat.
On your final day, you will bid fare well to Kenya with a complimentary lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant thereafter drop off at the airport for your homebound flight.
Upon arrival at the airport in the early morning, you will be picked by our company representative then briefed about the Safari thereafter depart to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in the late afternoon and proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch. After some rest, have an evening game drive and return as the day comes to an end.
Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge
Enjoy full day game drives in the reserve being on the lookout for special flora and fauna found in this place. Though Samburu is rather dry area and has rough terrain, it is blessed with very rare species only found here, some of them being reticulated giraffe, gravy’s zebra, beisa Oryx, and birds like blue necked ostrich and many more. Also, you may have the chance to come across the big five. Some of the good places to spot the animals are around the Ewaso Nyiro River where they quench their thirst while the carnivores take advantage and hunt the weak here.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge
Breakfast at the lodge thereafter check out. You will have enroute game drives as you leave the park on the lookout for some wildlife and bird species. You will arrive in Ol Pejeta just in time for check in and lunch. Located on the Equator of Nanyuki and the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. The sweet Waters Sanctuary is also located here whose main aim is to help in the protection of orphaned, abandoned and rescued Chimps. The Ol Pejeta conservancy works in conserving wildlife, providing a sanctuary for great apes, generating income through tourism as well as promoting community development.
After lunch embark on game drives and visiting some of the scenic areas in the park till late in the evening.
Dinner and overnight at Sweetwater’s Serena Tented Camp.
After breakfast, drive to reach Aberdare Country Club which is nestled on a slope of Mweiga Hill in the Aberdare Highlands, part of the Great Rift Valley. This captivating site was the homestead of an English couple that decided to settle in Kenya. Have lunch, and transfer to the Ark, which is built in the shape of Noah’s Ark and overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick that attracts a host of awesome wildlife. The afternoon will be spent viewing wildlife from the four decks with balconies and lounges.
If time allows you may have a glimpse of some of the big cats, rare sighting like the African Golden cat and the rare bongo found in this kind of ecosystem
Dinner and overnight at the Ark lodge.
After breakfast, check out around 9:00 and drive back to Nairobi. You will arrive late in the afternoon. On this day we shall treat you to a farewell lunch at the Famous carnivore for a feast of a beast thereafter transferred to the airport for your homebound destination.
