The 6 days safari is an expedition of Kenya’s wildlife and the variety of its varied landscapes in this active safari. Your tour guide will expertly share with you the highlights of 3 of Kenya’s premier destinations.
Starting with the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant, plus rare species like the Somali ostrich, gerenuk and oryx. Topping it off you will delight to a fantastic assortment of birdlife including pelicans, Secretary Birds, Marabou Storks, White headed vultures, Eagles and Yellow billed ox pecker flamingos.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI-SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Upon arrival at the airport, one of our representatives will pick you up at the airport briefed about the safari thereafter proceed to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in the late afternoon and proceed to the Lodge/Camp for check-in and lunch. After some rest, have an evening game drive and return as the day comes to an end.

DAY 2: SAMBURU FULL DAY

Enjoy full day game drives in the reserve being on the lookout for special flora and fauna found in this place. Samburu National reserve is a rather dry area and has rough terrain. The dry season mostly starts in late May and goes up to early October when large concentration of Wildlife is found here due to availability of fresh vegetation to feed on. It is blessed with very rare species of wildlife, some of them being reticulated giraffe, gravy’s zebra, beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk and birds like blue necked ostrich and many more. Also, you may have the chance to come across the big five. Some of the good places to spot the animals are around the Ewaso Nyiro River where they quench their thirst while the carnivores take advantage and hunt the weak here.

 

DAY 3: SAMBURU – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the lodge thereafter check out with enroute game drives to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Lake Nakuru National Park is among Kenya’s finest national parks. Located inside one of the Great Rift Valley soda lakes, the park is well known for its huge numbers of flamingos that flock on the shores of the lake to nest due to its abundance of algae. Also known for its conservation efforts towards protecting the endangered rhinos and the Rothschild giraffe. There are more than 50 different species of mammals including, white rhinos, waterbucks, buffalos, baboons, leopards, Cheetah’s lions and bird species i.e., African Fish Eagle, Herons, Hamerkop, Kingfisher etc.
Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge. After lunch and short relaxation, enjoy an afternoon game drive around the park till late.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU – MAAASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive to Maasai Mara National Park. Upon arrival check in thereafter have lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive till sunset. Along the way you shall have a crisp view of the rift valley formed as result of land faulting.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most outstanding reserves in the whole of East Africa and Africa at Large. With the same Eco system as the Serengeti National Park, the reserve is characterized by rolling open grassland savannah with patches of distinctive acacia trees.
The reserve hosts the annual spectacular Wildebeest Migration which is one of the “7 wonders of the World”. The migration occurs from late June to late October [depending on the weather patterns] with over millions of Wildebeest and other grazers i.e., the zebras, Topis, Antelopes and other wild animals moving from miles and miles from the Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara Reserve through the Mara River for fresh grass and mating then returning to Serengeti around Late October.
The reserve also boasts of around 500 bird species i.e. The Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Cranes, Eagles, Marabou Stock, Vulture and the big five [Lion, Cape Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopard & Elephant] just but to mention a few. Apart from the Flora and Fauna, we also have the Maa community who are the major habitants of this beautiful region, on your last day of the safari you can visit their Manyatta and learn more about their ways of living.

DAY 5: MAASAI MARA FULL DAY

Have breakfast and then proceed for a full day game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve, the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The morning and afternoon game drives take you in search of Africa’s Big Five and other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve.

DAY 6: MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI

On your final day you will have breakfast, after breakfast check out and drive back to Nairobi, upon arrival in Nairobi we will treat you to a farewell lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant thereafter transferred to the airport for your homebound flight
